Sony Music Entertainment continues to trim staff with sources suggesting that about 20 people were let go from the Sony Music Label Group, which consists of Columbia, Epic and a shared services department, sources say.

The layoffs come on the heels of cutbacks at other divisions within the company. Over the last two months, staffers have been cut from the Sony Music Commercial Group, the Global Distribution and U.S. Sales division, and the RCA/Jive Label Group. In total, sources put the total layoffs at about 100 staffers. A Sony Music spokesman declined comment.
