Trent Reznor on tehnyt Atticus Rossin kanssa musiikkia Ken Burnsin dokumenttiin Vietnamin sodasta.
PBS-kanavalla 17. syyskuuta ensi-iltansa saava dokumentti saa virallisen soundtrack-julkaisun syyskuun 15. päivä eli kaksi päivää ennen televisioensi-iltaa.
Ihan mistään perussoundtrackistä ei ole kyse, vaan Reznor ja Ross käyttivät äänimaailman luomisessa hyväkseen esimerkiksi helikopterien ja kranaatinheittimien ääniä sekä ihmisten puhetta kuvatakseen erilaisia tunnetiloja.
Mielenkiintoisesti mukana on myös uusiksi tehtyjä kohtia Nine Inch Nailsin kappaleista sekä The Social Network- ja The Girl With the Drag Tattoo -elokuvien soundtrackeistä. Lisäksi mukana on 38 kappaletta 1960-luvulta aina The Beatlesistä The Rolling Stonesin kautta Otis Reddingiin.
Soundtrack ilmestyy kahden cd:n tai kolmen lp:n pakettina.
