Ilmoitus. Ikoninen brittirockbändi The Who ja erityisesti sen kitaristi Pete Townshend ovat ihastuneet Volkswagen -busseihin. Pakettiauto yhdistyy ihmisten mielikuvissa vahvasti 1960-luvulle, samaan aikakauteen jolloin myös The Who perustettiin. Tuolloin myös Townshend hankki ensimmäisen VW Businsa. Siitä kertoo myös The Whon kappale Goin’ Mobile (1971):
”I’m gonna find a home on wheels, see how it feels / Goin’ mobile / Keep me moving / I can pull up by the curb /I can make it on the road / Goin’ mobile / I can stop in any street/ And talk with people that we meet”.
Vuonna 2008 The Who customoi oman versionsa VW Busista hyväntekeväisyyttä varten.
