Chris Cornellin vaimo Vicky järjesti miehensä muistolle upean I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell –tribuuttikonsertin Los Angelesissa viime keskiviikkona.
Cornellin ja hänen yhtyeidensä vaikutuksesta rock-piireihin kielii paikalle muistoa kunnioittamaan saapunut erittäin nimekäs kaarti. Konsertin viisituntiseen kestoon mahtui 42 esitystä ja tulkintaa.
Omien kappaleidensa lisäksi Soundgardenin, Audioslaven ja Temple of the Dogin tuotantoa tulkitsivat Metallica, Foo Fighters sekä Melvins.
Sooloartisteina paikalle saapuivat muun muassa Josh Homme, Miley Cyrus, Ryan Adams, Ziggy Marley, Adam Levine sekä Cornellin tytär Toni Cornell.
